Are you looking for part-time work to make a few extra dollars each month?

Is your current daily schedule quite chaotic, making it difficult, if not impossible, to commit to any real job?

Are you looking to work just a few hours a week, when you choose, where you choose, and still make enough money to justify the investment of your time?

If you answered YES to the questions above, you may be a perfect fit for a work from home Internet business.

You have probably heard of a few success stories regarding work from home businesses, and how some unemployed, uneducated, high school dropout made a Million dollars in a month working a few hours a week, from home. Right! I have heard them all too! It makes you pretty uneasy about the whole work from home theory and leads you to believe that every home based business opportunity is a complete scam. I have been in your very shoes, and had these very same thoughts!

I too, am a mother and had been searching for months for the right part time job to fit my crazy schedule. Nobody was looking for 3 hours here, 2 hours there, and no Wednsdays or weekends! Then, I found a position where they would work with me and my schedule, but they paid a whopping $8.75/hour! After gas to get to work and taxes, I was pretty much working for FREE! No thanks. Then I started looking into these work from home opportunities I kept seeing on the Internet and hear on TV. Some seemed just too good to be true, and others more realistic. I had to check them out for I had nothing to lose.

Well, rest assured, there are indeed some great work from home business ideas and opportunities out there. However, if you are expecting to make a million dollars a year working from home a couple hours a week doing nothing, you are sadly mistaken. If you view these opportunities as a way to make a couple hundred dollars a month and WORK for it, you are on the right track.

So, how do you find a legitimate work from home business? This is a great question! Even the best work from home business opportunities will promote larger than life money making examples and case studies. After all, they are a business and are trying to sell you on why you should work with them. That being said, just because they are showing larger than life examples, doesn't necessarily mean they are no good. Most of these websites are legitimate!

But, there are those few Scams out there. The best way to separate the garbage from the legitimate work from home business is through review sites like these. Find out what other people are saying. Also keep in mind most, if not all, of these work from home opportunities will charge some sort of set up or processing fee to get you signed up and started. Even the so called "Free" work from home sites will make you come out of your pocket if you want to make any money worth while. So, don't be sacred off if you have to pay a little to get started.
Here are some tips, or thoughts to consider when thinking about working from home:

  • Start Small - Don't bite off more than you can chew! How much time can you HONESTLY set aside to learn the systems and policies to make sure you do it right and succeed.
  • Realistic Income Expectation - What is your PART TIME, BEGINNER time honestly worth? $10/Hour? $15/Hour? $25/Hour? Go in with a target goal. If you put an honest 10 hours of work in and receive a $150 check ($15/hour), don't be disappointed.

  • Remember it's Part Time - Once again, if you put in 5 hours a week, and after the 1st month, you bring in a check for $375 ($18.75/hour), don't be disappointed. After all, you just made $18.75/hour working at your OWN PACE and AT HOME!

  • Track Your Results - Start analyzing your efficiency. Like any other job, the longer you do something, the better you will get. If you only plan on working 5 hours a week, try to get as much done in those 5 hours as possible and essentially GIVE YOUR SELF A RAISE!
  • Rinse and Repeat - Once you have analyzed your efficiency and maxed out your per hour earning potential, decide whether or not if you can handle more!
